WK / COP endorsement

In accordance with the requirements of the STCW Convention, the Panama Maritime Authority (PMA) issues Watchkeeping and Certificate of Proficiency (COP) endorsements to ensure that all seafarers serving on Panama-flagged vessels meet international standards of competence and training.

These endorsements serve as official recognition of a seafarer's qualifications, allowing them to perform specific duties on board in compliance with global maritime regulations. The endorsements are mandatory for officers and ratings engaged in designated safety, security, and operational roles, and are issued based on valid training certificates and proof of competency from recognized maritime administrations.

Watchkeeping or Cop endorsement will be issued to Able Seamen, Oilers, Bosuns and Motormen’s
