PANAMA SHIPS COOK COURSE ENDORSEMENTS,

IN ACCORDANCE WITH MLC 2006, STANDARD A3.2.4 OR ILO 69

The Ship’s Cook Endorsement is a mandatory certification for personnel assigned as cooks onboard vessels sailing under the Panama Flag, in compliance with the Maritime Labour Convention (MLC), 2006. This endorsement ensures that the designated cook has the necessary qualifications, training, and competence to prepare safe and nutritious meals for the crew in accordance with international standards.

To obtain the Panama Ship’s Cook Endorsement, candidates must provide evidence of formal culinary training, sea service experience, and relevant medical fitness. The endorsement process is administered by the Panama Maritime Authority and can be completed through either a standard or expedited procedure, depending on the urgency of the requirement.

• Normal Process (No additional charge): The Ship’s Cook Endorsement can be expected within 10 to 15 working days.
• Fast Track Process (Additional charge of USD 10): The Ship’s Cook Endorsement can be expected within 2 working days.
