Scope:
This course is designed to comply with the requirements established in the reg. V/2, section A‐V/2 paragraphs 3 and 4 table A‐V/2 of the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for seafarers, 1978, as amended.
General objectives:
The participant having completed the course will be able to comply with the correct procedures in different emergency situations that can occur on Board of a Ro‐ro vessel’s passengers, take the necessary measures to prevent panic of passengers and other crew with less experience, direct or guide the passengers to the meeting points or embarkation stations; give clear instructions; be familiar with usage of rescue devices and their location.
Prerequisites:
In what refers to the training provided by this course model, there are no specific requirements about the level of income. However, the staff having responsibilities specific detailed in section A‐V/2 and in section A‐V/3 paragh. 4 and 5 should receive this training.
Entry Standards
• For the admission to the course, seafarers must be certified by a doctor to be in a good health.
