Scope:
This course is designed to comply with the requirements laid down in Regulation VI/1, section A‐VI/1 and table A‐VI/1‐2, of the International Convention on standards of training, certification and Watchkeeping for seafarers STCW/78 as amended.
General objectives:
The participant having completed the course will be able to comply with the correct procedures in different emergency situations that can occur on board a ship; take the necessary measures to prevent marine pollution; observe safe working practices; understand orders, given to understand in the activities of the ship and maintain effective human relations on board the ship.
Prerequisites:
Model specific income levels for training with this course are not enforced. All persons who aspire to work on board a vessel must receive this basic training before assigned those tasks on board.
Entry Standards
For the admission to the course, seafarers must be certified by a doctor to be in a good health.
